SEO Keywords. The most important part of SEO

PAGE 1 SEARCH ENGINE RANKING
= MORE TRAFFIC
= MORE SALES

Every man and his dog wants a No. 1 listing on Google, Yahoo and Bing. But it IS ALL POINTLESS if it is for the WRONG KEYWORDS !

The keywords you choose to market your website on are the most important starting place for your own search engine optimisation program (SEO).

Pick the wrong ones and either too few people will find you or conversely too many of the wrong people will hit your site…  and you’ll be wasting a lot of your time, energy and money.  Either way visitors will NOT BUY if the keyword match is wrong SIMPLE !!

SO CHOOSING THE RIGHT KEYWORDS
FROM THE OFF INCREASES  YOUR
CHANCE of RANKING HIGHLY
in the SEARCH ENGINES.

Many site owners think that they already know the best keyword for their product or service . BUT… without keyword analysis they are more than likely wrong or the obvious keywords are so competitive already that their SEO journey is a steep and rocky climb!  There are several reasons why:

  1. Because you know the special terminology used in your business category or geek speak it doesn’t mean your prospects do!
  2. Customers in different areas / regions / countries use different terms.
For example:  If your site is optimised for “automotive parts” but more of your searchers use the phrase “car spares” then it’s likely they will miss your site completely.
  3. You’re not in the prospect’s mind-set. So you will not know in what context they are searching or if it’s related to some other problem / issues or purchase decision they have in mind. So they may not want to buy, just find information when you want buyers or leads.

So it’s critical to your on-line success that you spend time to find the best keywords for your website and ‘topic’ if you want a easier payback (and we surely do).

SEO for GOOGLE Page 1

High ranking on Google and other Search Engines is ESSENTIAL, ACTUALLY CRITICAL to any online business wanting higher volumes of traffic, leads or sales.

Without a PAGE 1 position in Google Search Results (SERPs) your web site will under perform and under sell !! That’s a FACT. And every day it gets more competitive as 1000′s more on-line business FIGHT to get the TOP POSITION in Google and other search engines.

It isn’t EASY but you CAN INCREASE your traffic, sales and ROI by getting your web site on PAGE 1 of Google’s result page for the RIGHT KEYWORD(s). It’s going to take time, labour and a Search Engine Optimisation budget (SEO) to get there. And it’s an on-going process NOT a ONE-OFF exercise !!

Because SEO involves some technical skills, you are going to need SEO HELP from an experienced web designer, developer or/and a dedicated SEO Expert, with tools and software to analyse your current site, find the right keywords, amend pages, build links to your site and make the right tweaks (optimising) at the right time… and that TAKES TIME !! There is no fast track overnight PAGE 1 solution, especially Google Ranking (they are very clever at spotting artificial SPAMMY sites).

If you want GOOGLE PAGE 1 then you have ot give Google what they want… dance to their tune or they give you no room !

We have successfully placed many of our client’s web sites in good positions for the right keywords in many search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN Live. We have the tools and experience to know the 160 SEO factors that your site needs to get  TOP SEARCH POSITIONS and RANKINGS.

How do search engines work?

Well it would seem that Jo(e) Public don’t know how search engines work. According to a recent survey by FastHosts, more than 70% of UK surfers haven’t much idea on how to search using keywords or how the search results are chosen and returned in the list. 19% admitted thay hadn’t a clue!

Some think the search results delivered by search engines such as Google and Yahoo are totally random. And interestingly nearly 40% of searchers deliberately ignore the Sponsored Ads  (Google Adwords for example) and prefer to choose and click on the organic natural results.

Which of course makes it difficult to predict what users may type into an engine search box or where they might click but for sure web site owners have to optimise their web sites for relevant keywords. There is already many reports that users rarely go beyond the 1st or 2nd page of search results… and that’s where we all want to be!

So optimise, optimise and keep on optimising your web page content… oh and remember inbound links are massively important. Go get ‘em Floyd!

Google Ranking a New Website

It can take a while for Google (and other search engines) to list and rank your site. Why?

The basic answer is ‘TRUST’. Google search engine ‘watches’ your site closely until it makes it’s ‘mind’ up wether to trust your site and that it has bona-fida content. Many sites are a vehicle for Spammers, Hackers or trying to trick Google into ‘Black-Hat’ techniques to make a quick $ or two with adverts or pornography.

So a new site in particular has to build up it’s reputation over time. Google will give a new domain a page-rank of zero (0 out of 10) until it ‘trusts’ the site. Read the rest of this entry »
